If you're here, you probably found your way through Brittany Pride Consulting, a mutual connection, social media, or maybe just curiosity. Either way, I'm glad you're here 🙂

Let me tell you what this is and why I started it.

What the BSP Brief is

The BSP Brief is my personal research journal on business, systems, modern work, and the kind of operational thinking that most small and midsize businesses don't have access to because it's usually locked inside large corporations with entire departments dedicated to it.

I spent years working inside companies like Coca-Cola, Mailchimp, Carvana, and Aaron's. I watched how they built systems, managed change, scaled teams, and created processes that could hold weight as they grew. And I also ran my own business on the side, a press-on nail brand called Pressette Beauty, where I quietly applied everything I was absorbing at the enterprise level to something much smaller and personal.

At some point, a friend looked at all of it and said: Why don’t you start consulting?

So here I am.

Who this is for

This is for the founder who is doing everything themselves and starting to feel it. The business owner who knows something needs to change but isn't sure where to start. The person who wants to grow but hasn't figured out how to build something that can function without them in every detail.

I write for small to midsize businesses, and specifically for owners who want to scale but need a practical, grounded way to think about how to get there.

What to expect

Every issue will give you something real to think about or apply. I'm interested in the research, the patterns, the systems thinking, and the honest, human side of what it actually takes to build a business that can grow.

You'll hear about operations and systems, change management and communication, AI and modern work, and occasionally the real, unfiltered experience of building this consulting practice from the ground up. Just practical takeaways and honest perspective.

One last thing

This is also a personal journey for me. I'm building Brittany Pride Consulting in real time, learning alongside the business owners I want to serve, and documenting what I find along the way. I believe there's value in watching someone figure it out, not just hearing from someone who already did.

So if you're curious what this process actually looks like from the inside, you're in exactly the right place.

More soon, tootles.
